MOBILE NOTARY
I provide confidential Notary Public and Loan Signing services, in the convenience of your home, office, or other location of your choice, including Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose, Milpitas, Cupertino, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and all surrounding Bay Area counties.
CALIFORNIA FEE
The State of California has determined the fees for Notary Services are $15 per signature notarized.
Carla Nicole Notary Services adheres to these regulations.
*Please note if you are hiring a mobile notary public, you are paying an additional fee for the convenience of service to your location.

This fee can change based on distance and time of day. If you require service during peak traffic times or after 7:00 PM the travel fee is increased between $10 an $50.
GENERAL FEES
A Travel/Mobile Service fee will be added to the notarization fee as follows:
Airport Emergency Notarization: $75.00 travel + $15.00 per document per signature
Before 8:00 a.m. and after 8:00 p.m. $45.00 travel fee (based on distance) + standard Notary Fee(s)
Local Jails - 2 hours allotted: $150.00 (must be prepaid prior to travel to the facility)
Excessive Waiting Times: $50.00 per hour after the first 20 minutes

Local Mobile Notary to client home $150.00 (documents were FedEx'd directly to borrower)

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
Identification
The primary function of a Notary Public is to examine identification, that you are the person listed on the document and to act as an impartial witness, when you sign your documents. This is to deter fraudulent activity.
Options for ID
These should be unexpired or if expired, issued within 5 years prior to the expiration date:
Drivers License
State I.D. card
Passport
Consular card, City
State or Federal government issued ID card
Tribal ID card
Inmate ID card

Note: If you have an elderly parent with mobility issues, they often need to get documents notarized. Seniors can apply for a "free" senior ID card (62 years and older) often by mail, you can review your options & find the CA DMV application.

It is a violation of California law for a Notary Public to notarize an incomplete document. This law is to protect the signer from someone fraudulently entering additional information on your document, after it is out of your possession.

If your Lender, Escrow, Title or Attorney requires you to complete the document in the presence of a notary public, they will usually indicate this, in their instructions to you.
